We're still not sure if it's blood the drones leak, or just oil - or even which would be worse - but the sight of one of these monsters high-kicking a soldier dead is at once disturbing and thrilling (if not nearly as bizarre as seeing them triumphantly fart in unison). If you missed the previous clips - which we also have nestled in our MGS4video library - this trailer gives a stripped-down heads-up on the game's plot and Snake's new mission. Liquid Snake, the boss from the PS1 Metal Gear Solid, has gained control of a private army (as well as villain Revolver Ocelot's body) big enough to challenge America's own military might, and Snake must do everything he can to stop a new world war.
From previous trailers, and the epilogue of this one, the situation looks massively grim. Snake is aging, nurturing a hacking smoker's cough and seems to regularly need a vicious-looking injection just to stay on his battle-weary feet. And he's no match for the robots, needing his cloaking tech-suit to escape their awesome power. Expect more soon on what can only be the biggest game of 2007.
