The latest teaser for Mad Max: Fury Road has appeared online, and it looks as deliriously unhinged as those that have come before it. In terms of high-octane, automotive action, it makes Fast And Furious 7 look positively pedestrian…
One of the major selling points of George Miller’s new film has been the extensive use of practical effects, and this latest promo is packed to the rafters with them. Having become steadily desensitized to extensive CGI in action movies, it’s a notably different-looking style, and one that really rams home those explosions and collisions.

Throw in that R-rating and you’ve got a blockbuster that looks genuinely gleeful to be playing by its own rules. It’s also nice to hear a bit of dialogue for a change, as Tom Hardy’s Max ponders just who is craziest in this nightmarish dystopia.
Directed by Miller and co-starring Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult and Riley Keough, Mad Max: Fury Road will open in the UK on 15 May 2015 and the US on 21 May 2015.
