New images from Breaking Dawn Part 2 arrive
And director Bill Condon discusses what we can expect from the finale
With the curtain set to fall on the Twilight saga once and for all, a couple of new images have been released from Breaking Dawn - Part 2 , while director Bill Condon has also taken the time to share some insight on how the series will come to a close.
"The running time is one hour and 56 minutes," says Condon, perhaps in an attempt to mollify that section of the audience who might not be attending through choice. "One minute shorter than the first one and as such, I think the shortest of all of them."
As for the pressure of delivering the film's grand finale, Condon seems confident in what he has managed to capture. "I would say the whole climax, I feel like it’s the biggest musical number I’ve ever directed. It does feel, when you finally get the rhythm of that right, it makes it, I hope, very satisfying."
The final film will place the spotlight firmly on the Cullen child, Renesmee, and Condon also dropped a few hints as to how her powers will be depicted onscreen.
"Her power, she touches somebody and she can show them what’s in her head. Just recently in the mixing, Dane Davis had her just speak and read poetry and things like that, and he’s turned it into hundreds of tracks. It’s a very abstract effect that I’ve never heard before. It’s really cool."
Breaking Dawn pt. 2 will open in the UK on 16 November 2012.
