ORIGINAL: The new Ghostbuster movie isn't so much teasing out details as offering up the barest wisps of knowledge to the wind. We've got a teaser trailer now, at least, which is - please God - hopefully leading up to a joke and not representative of the final tone.
Anyway, there's also this:
Now, that there looks like a walking version of the logo, albeit with evil teeth and a poor ability to accessorise. As I mentioned a minute ago, plot details are super thin on the ground so I've a few theories:
1. He's a knowing nod to the old films in some way.
2. He's the first ghost the team catch and inspires the logo.
3. He's this film's 'Slimer.'
4. He's someone the Ghostbusters hire to play a characterisation of the logo in a TV advert who somehow tragically dies and is trapped forever in the suit as a ghost.
5. Colombia Pictures aren't missing a trick when it comes to merch.
That's not the end though, look:
That's a second version of Logo Ghost, with a different, more fighty pose and an angrier face. More interestingly, is the flying Terror Dog thing up at the back. Now that could be a creature the Ghostbusters have to face but it looks far more solid than a standard spirit. My money's on that being Rowan, supposedly an evil demon who's the big bad in the film and played by Saturday Night Live's Neil Casey.
