Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice gets new footage and potential run time

It was only just over two weeks ago that a new full-length trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice landed online and quickly got criticism for revealing a little too much. New footage has understandably been sparse since then, but there's a new shot or two in the international TV spot for the highly anticipated superhero film. Check it out below...

Between introducing us to significant characters, giving us a satisfying fight between its two titular heroes, and setting the stage for the Justice League, there is a lot to pack in to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. According to DC Comics Movie (via ComicBook.com), all that storytelling will require a run time of 151 minutes, which makes it 8 minutes longer than Man of Steel's 143 minutes.

It's important to note that as we're still three months away from the film's release that run time may change, but the length as it stands is consistent with other recent superhero films. Snyder is also known to be fond of director's cuts - he did one for both Sucker Punch and Watchmen - so if there is footage that doesn't make the theatrical cut of the film, that doesn't necessarily mean that we'll never see it. As always, time will tell!

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne and Amy Adams, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive in UK and US cinemas on March 25 2016.
