New Elm Street poster scared up
Does what it says on the tin...
Last week’s give-it-all-away trailer got us actually a little bit excited about the noughties reimagining of A Nightmare On Elm Street .
Well, the cool just keeps on coming, as the bods over at New Line have just released a brand new poster for the flick. It’s just as slick (and sick) as the trailer.
Check it out below, and click for a super hi-res version.
Of course, advertising does not a great film make - and the fact that A Nightmare On Elm Street circa 2010 is directed by music video guru Samuel Bayer still has us sort of antsy. We'd be happy to eat Krueger's hat if he manages to pull it off.
Interesting to note that co-writer Eric Heisserer is also scribbling next year’s updated The Thing . So, if nothing else, Nightmare should give us a good idea of what we’re in for there.
Starring Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger, and TV stalwarts Kyle Gallner, Rooney Mara, Katie Cassidy and Thomas Dekker as his teenage prey, this new Nightmare basically updates Wes Craven’s original for the millennium gen.
It hits cinemas on 7 May.
