New Deadpool image arrives online
A new image has appeared online from Deadpool, as tweeted by Ryan Reynolds himself. The new shot shows the titular merc skimming a copy of a Deadpool comic-book in the bathroom, accompanied by the caption, "smells like someone died up in here".
The new image is a reference to Deadpool #250, the latest edition of the comic-book which is rumoured to contain the death of Wade Wilson. However, Reynolds suggested the character is alive and well by finishing his post with the hashtag #alivepool.
The new film will tell Wilson's origin story, covering his transformation from Special Forces operative to super-powered mercenary. The film was recently confirmed with an R-rating, and is likely to be one of the darker Marvel Comics adaptations.
Directed by Tim Miller and co-starring Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein and Gina Carano, Deadpool will open in the UK and US on 12 February 2016.
