Need for Speed ProStreet: movie, pics and info
Get ready for an "emotionally charged street racing showdown"
Street racingfansrejoice: this newtrailer (below) and abatch of screenshotsshow some achingly fast looking, customized-to-the-wipers, adorned-in-decals automobilesfrom thenewly announced Need for Speed ProStreet.
As the title suggests, street racing will be the order of the day, while pimping your ride promises to be an even bigger factor than in previous games. Indeed, prangs, smashes and collisions will apparently all leave their mark - be it a dent, scratch or crumpled panel - so expect to spend plenty of garage time restoring your prized gasoline guzzler back to pristine condition post-race.
ProStreet's executive producer, Larry LaPierre, describes the game as being "about building the ultimate performance-tuned battle machine, taking it to multi-disciplinary showdowns all over the world and pitting your skills and reputation against the very best street racers." We're guessing that players will also be able to race their lovingly constructed beasts-on-wheels in ProStreet's online mode, which EA is promising will "redefine the meaning of competitive social play."
