Narnia 2 roaring to life
Helmer confirms Caspian will shoot in 2006
After out-blockbustering some of the most anticipated flicks of the year, every man and his lion knew that a second instalment of The Chronicles Of Narnia would be in development soon enough.
With a worldwide haul of over $584 million on a production budget of around $150 million, we reckon a sequel is worth a punt.
"If we don't make it now we'll never be able to, because they'll be too old,” lenser Andrew Adamson says, confirming that the Pevensie children will again be played by William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes and Georgie Henley, the cluster of kids that made the first movie such a hit.
The next adaptation from the CS Lewis penned series is reported to be Prince Caspian – however, that tale is fourth in the series and takes place many years after Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy have left Narnia, so watch this space for confirmation.
Filming is slated to start in the autumn.
