Napoleon Dynamite will return
Cult film to become animated series
Gosh! Fox has ordered six episodes of an animated series based on 2004's cult hit Napoleon Dynamite .
The show will feature the voices of the main original cast members, including Jon Hader (Napoleon), Efren Ramirez (Pedro) and Aaron Ruell (Kip), and will be set in the same sleepy Idaho community as the film.
The films writers, Jared and Jerusha Hess, are working on the series with Simpsons producer Mike Scully.
Offbeat animation has long been a favourite in the TF office, from Daria and King Of The Hill to Beavis and Butthead and Metalocalypse, so we've got high hopes for this one.
Hopefully it will mark a return to form for the Hess', who haven't been able to recapture the Napolean magic in subsequent films Nacho Libre and Gentlemen Broncos .
Expect to see Napolean Dynamite: The Animated Series in late 2011.
