Mutants go to war in explosive new trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse
2016 is a big year for fans of superhero cinema. Deadpool got things off to a great start back in February, and in the next two months Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War will make their cinematic debuts. The fourth comic book movie of the year is Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse, and a brand new trailer for the film has just landed online. Check it out below...
The second X-Men: Apocalypse trailer certainly doesn't skimp on the spectacle; in between lots of disaster shots, we get a better look at Olivia Munn's Psylocke in action as well as more glimpses of Nightcrawler and Quicksilver. Then there's Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse - seen here at one point throwing Professor X through a wall - who looks like he's going to be the villain to beat this summer. In other words... I'm sold.
Directed by Bryan Singer and starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Oscar Isaac, Jennifer Lawrence, Olivia Munn, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Rose Byrne, and Nicholas Hoult, X-Men: Apocalypse will be released in UK cinemas on May 18, 2016 before making its way to US theatres on May 27, 2016.
