2025 has provided some extremely entertaining new movies so far. The Oscar-winning The Brutalist has been and gone, Bong Joon Ho returned with Mickey 17, and Captain America: Brave New World continued MCU Phase 5. Rest assured though, 2025 is still brimming with horror, blockbusters sequels, and some of the most exciting upcoming video game movies we've seen yet (Minecraft and Until Dawn, anyone?).

We've compiled a complete list full of release dates for upcoming Marvel movies like Thunderbolts*, news for upcoming horror movies such as Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and Final Destination: Bloodlines, and plenty of Disney and family-friendly offerings like the new live-action versions of Lilo & Stitch and How To Train Your Dragon.

Needless to say, there are many upcoming movies you should be aware of. To make your planning easy, we've broken it all down into months, so you can see exactly what 2025 movie release dates should be on your watchlist!

On-site, you'll find me marveling at Marvel and providing analysis and room temperature takes on the newest films, Star Wars and, of course, anime. Outside of GR, I love getting lost in a good 100-hour JRPG, Warzone, and kicking back on the (virtual) field with Football Manager. My work has also been featured in OPM, FourFourTwo, and Game Revolution.
