Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition summons behind-the-scenes trailer
NetherRealm promises big things for MK compilation
The Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition komes k-next k-Tuesday, and today Warner Bros is giving it one more promotional nudge in the form of a behind-the-scenes video with NetherRealm studios. Learn why designer Brian Lebaron and software engineer Nigel Casey believe this is one fighting game compilation fans need to own.
Announced back in January, the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition will pack all the DLC that has been released for the NertherRealm reboot. That includes new characters like Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain, and Freddy Krueger; as well the “Klassic” fighters, klassic skins, and an honest-to-goodness code for a free copy of the original Mortal Kombat movie from 1995 via PlayStation Network or Xbox Live.
“One of our objectives in the Komplete edition was to ensure that once we packaged all the downloadable content for the game together on one disc, when the players out there had that game, it would function properly not only with itself, but with the existing game,” explains Nigel Casey, adding, “So if you had a buddy that had the old game, and you got the Komplete Edition, you could play with your buddy online.”
Look for the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition to arrive for PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 28 in North America, and March 2 in the UK.
