PS3 Mortal Kombat players inEurope arethirsty forNetherRealm Studios and/or Warner Bros. Interactive blood after the latest title update arrived in the PSN store at double the US price without the promised Skarlet character pack.
In a statement to Eurogamer, Warner Bros attributed the mix-up to “technical issues”, stating, “The Mortal Kombat Skarlet DLC will not be available to PSN users in Europe until next week...We apologise for any inconvenience but assure fans that Skarlet and her fatalities are on the way.”
Warner Bros. Further clarified the posted price of the Klassic Skins pack on the European PSN siteis wrong, and the publisher is working to bring it down to the previously promised price of £3.19 for UK players and €3.99 for European players.
Predictably, some Mortal Kombat players have reacted to the DLC speedbump as if they've been told Sony reps have been ordered to come over and execute their pets. One of the more rational comments on theEuropean Playstation Blogby user NEALANE sums up the general sentiment, reading, “Is there any senior reps atSCEE or SCEA that we could all complain to if anyone can find any contact info please upload it so we can all complain untill we get noticed i don’t think the problem is Sony as a whole it's EUPSN that seems to be causing the problems the fact is whoever is in charge of baby Ross & the rest of the toddlers who run this disgrace of aPSN service to seriously think about sacking them now.”
In fairness, much of the anger appears to stem from Sony's delay in explaining the Mortal Kombat DLC hiccup. But then, it doesn't appear this is a case of Sony donning its evil cape and deliberately trying to piss off its customer base. Look, I'm not saying delays like this aren't annoying, but if bitching and moaning about having to wait a little while longer toplay alarge-breasted fighter in a game that runs fine without more large-breasted fighters is among your biggest issues these days, count yourself incredibly blessed.
