Moore news from the big man
[360] Xbox VP wants to take Xbox Live to retail
Peter Moore is apparently looking at taking the games offered by Xbox Live Arcade off-line, and propping them up on retail shelves alongside the other titles in the 360 library. According to an article on Next-Gen, Moore has been arguing that some of the biggest Xbox Live Arcade titles (such as Geometry Wars and Smash TV ) could appeal to the 50% of 360 gamers that haven't signed up to the online service.
Next-Gen sited "industry sources" as stating that Moore had planned a retail SKU, indicating that Xbox Live Arcade games could end up at your local game store soon. Whether that would be in the form of a compilation of Live Arcade titles or simply a bunch of cheap individual games is still unknown, as Microsoft has not commented on the issue.
