Monkey Ball rolling again
Sega splatters us with a fruit-filled Revolution game
Sega has announced that it is currently working on Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz for Nintendo's next-gen console, Revolution, promising primate-in-a-sphere fun designed especially for the machine's wizzy-wand controller.
The usual blend of puzzle-based banana collection and amusing party diversions will return, although the motion-sensing capabilities of Revolution's controller should ensure that Banana Blitz will feel quite unlike previous Monkey Ball games, like the one below.
Above: The floating puzzle trays will now respond to your own movements, thanks to the Revolution's controller.
For the first time in the series, AiAi and his chimp buddies will be able to jump - an action executed by the player with a simple flick of the wrist - and tilting the playing area will be achieved by tilting Revolution's controller as desired.
We're expecting plenty of monkeying around at E3 in just two weeks.
