How to craft the Minecraft Netherite armor set
The Netherite Armor Set in Minecraft is one of the game's best armors
Minecraft Netherite armor is the best armor you can possibly get, even surpassing a full Diamond armor set. As you've probably guessed, creating Netherite armor requires a trip to the Nether dimension, where you must collect Ancient Debris and turn it into Netherite Ingots. It's not easy - but at least you'll be nearly immortal once you've got your Netherite armor set.
Here's how to craft Netherite armor and get the best late-game Minecraft gear.
How to craft Netherite armor in Minecraft
To craft Netherite armor in Minecraft, players have to create it from a base set of Diamond Armor. The process goes as follows:
1. Get some Minecraft diamonds and craft a full Diamond armor set.
2. Acquire a Smithing Table. You can take them from villages, or craft your own by placing two iron ingots over a 2x2 square of wooden planks.
3. Obtain a 'Netherite Upgrade' Smithing Template. You can typically find them in the treasure rooms of bastion remnants (the dark castles found in the Nether). You can duplicate this Smithing Template by placing seven Diamonds and a piece of Netherrack around your current template (see picture above) - it's best to do this first, as this will give you enough materials to upgrade a full Netherite armor set.
4. Place a 'Netherite Upgrade' Smithing Template, a Netherite Ingot, and a Diamond armor set piece in the Smithing Table.
5. This will provide a Netherite armor piece, "upgrading" the existing Diamond armor into Netherite.
6. Repeat for every Diamond armor piece until you have the full Netherite set.
Upgrading Diamond armor in this way actually carries over existing enchantments (and lost durability) over to the new Netherite armor, rather than creating a fresh, unchanged piece. Keep this in mind when choosing what to improve. Also, if you don't know how to find Minecraft Netherite, our attached guide will help you track it down.

Netherite armor has +1 Armor Toughness and +1 Knockback Resistance compared to Diamond armor, along with a considerably higher durability. One of the biggest bonuses to everything Netherite is that it floats in lava too!
So if you die in the Nether or in a sneaky lava pool in a cave, your Netherite equipment will be safe, as long as you get back before it despawns - having a Minecraft Respawn Anchor will be helpful in that regard. It'll take a while to acquire a full set of Netherite armor but when you do, you'll be sorted for a long time.
With your Netherite armor sorted, be sure to get the best Minecraft enchantments too.

Give me a game and I will write every "how to" I possibly can or die trying. When I'm not knee-deep in a game to write guides on, you'll find me hurtling round the track in F1, flinging balls on my phone in Pokemon Go, pretending to know what I'm doing in Football Manager, or clicking on heads in Valorant.
