Mighty No. 9 coming to PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360

Mighty No. 9 got equipped with console versions today. The Kickstarted spiritual successor to Mega Man from Keiji Inafune's Comcept studio cleared $2.2 million in pledges, soaring past its most significant stretch goal yet.

The platformer will be at home on PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360, on top of its previously announced PC, Mac, and Linux versions. Backers will be able to choose which one they want to digitally receive after the campaign concludes.

Other cleared stretch goals include a New Game Plus mode, a sped-up Turbo Mode, a Boss Rush Mode, and even a Making of Mighty No. 9 video documentary produced by 2 Player Productions, the team behind the Double Fine Adventure documentary.

Mighty No. 9 will blast his way onto PS4 and Xbox One at $3.3 million pledged (3DS and Vita versions are also being considered). With 14 days to go, we wouldn't count the new blue bomber out of next gen just yet.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
