A Microsoft Store product listing for Halo on Xbox One has provided a few bits of information about the game’s story. According to the since-pulled listing on the company’s online store, which was spotted by AGB, “Halo for Xbox One takes the now-legendary saga to new heights and is one of the most anticipated games for the new console.
"In possession of a mysterious data chip, Petty Officer John-117, aka Master Chief, confronts a new battery of challenges and tests in a Herculean effort to stay alive in a galaxy where sentient life is mercilessly hunted.”
The game was announced at E3 for release on Xbox One in 2014. One of many things yet to be confirmed is the title's name, with Microsoft Studios head Phil Spencer saying in June that the scope of 343 Industries' Halo Reclaimer Trilogy - originally planned as Halo 4, Halo 5 and Halo 6 - had been expanded.
However, a new version of the game's E3 reveal trailer has suggested next year’s release may indeed be called Halo 5. According to CVG, the firm behind the trailer, Axis Animation, uploaded a version of the CGI movie to its Facebook page over the weekend, and this time it included a previously unseen Halo 5 logo.
