Michelle MacLaren in talks to direct Wonder Woman
Studio had been looking for female director
Warner may well have found a director for its Wonder Woman solo movie, with THR reporting that Michelle MacLaren is currently in talks with the studio.
It had previously been reported that the Warner was searching for a female director to take the helm, and in our previous news piece , we speculated that MacLaren might be a good fit for the job.
Having amassed an impressive television CV, including a number of episodes of both Breaking Bad and Game Of Thrones , MacLaren has yet to make the step up to feature films, but would be an exciting choice from the studio.
Official plot details are yet to be confirmed, but it is thought that the new film will be a period piece, following Wonder Woman’s attempts to fit in to life in 1920s America.
Starring Gal Gadot in the title role, Wonder Woman will open in the US on 23 June 2017, with a UK date yet to be confirmed.
