Michael Fassbender's next film could be Irish Myths
He's attached to play a legendary hero
Michael Fassbender , it's fair to say, has had a pretty decent 12 months.
After a strong 2011 (including his blockbuster breakout, X-Men: First Class ), Fassbender's 2012 has kicked off with tremendously varied style, with Haywire , Shame and A Dangerous Method all impressing.
And that's before Prometheus has even come out.
And it doesn't look like the actor is resting on his laurels, as he's already lining up another project in the form of Irish Myths .
The script is currently being written by Ronan Bennett ( Public Enemies ), and will focus on the Ulster Myth Cycle from Irish mythology. Fassbender is set to play Cuchulain, a hero compared to Achilles for his short life and subsequent fame.
Interestingly, he's also known for his monstrous battle frenzies, which could look extremely cool on screen.
There's currently no news on a director, let alone a release date.
