Michael Fassbender plays Apple founder in first Steve Jobs trailer
We’ve seen blurry set pics, unofficial posters, and now the first teaser trailer for Steve Jobs has made its way online. Directed by Danny Boyle and based on a script by Aaron Sorkin, Michael Fassbender leads this latest take on the Apple innovator’s life. And from the looks of this initial tease he’s a dead ringer for the late tech genius.
While Fassbender is in the spotlight, fully decked out in Jobs’ signature specs and black turtleneck, the rest of the star-studded cast are also granted a quick introduction. That includes Seth Rogen as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Kate Winslet as former Apple marketing honcho Joanna Hoffman and Jeff Daniels as ex-Apple CEO John Sculley. Check it out below:
Not exactly action-packed, but a nevertheless intriguing glimpse into Sorkin and Boyle’s unique approach to Jobs’ story. Their tactic - the movie consists of a trio of extended scenes based around the launch of three iconic Apple products - understandably will play out far better in its entirety than a one-minute preview. Still, the sight of Fassbender on stage might make you do a double take...
Steve Jobs arrives in the US on October 9 and the UK on November 13.
