Michael Fassbender joins Ridley Scotts Prometheus
Starring opposite Noomi Rapace
Michael Fassbender has jumped on board Ridley Scott’s mysterious new sci-fi Prometheus .
The actor has reportedly been involved in negotiations since way back when the film was being touted as an Alien prequel, but has only just been able to sign on.
He will apparently play an android, which could be one of those links to the "DNA" of Alien that Ridley Scott has hinted at.
Previously, Swedish Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace signed to play the film’s lead, while (rumour alert) Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie are reportedly both interested in the second female lead, Vickers.
Prometheus ’ release date has now changed from March to 8 June, 2012, meaning Fox are now viewing this is something of a summer tentpole. Could it be a sci-fi brain fry to rival even Inception ?
