Veteran actor to appear in sequel to Journey To Center Of The Earth 3D
Because now he’s signed up to appear in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island , a sequel to Journey To The Center Of The Earth 3D ; a sequel that even Brendan Fraser has passed on. Yes, that‘s what we said – Michael Caine is appearing in a movie even Brendan Fraser doesn’t want to do. The mind boggles.
Instead, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island will star Dwayne Johnson, née The Rock, in a film loosely based on another Jules Verne story, The Mysterious Island (do you see what they did there?). Josh Hutcherson reprises his role from the first movie, partnering with Johnson, who plays his his mum’s boyfriend, on a trip to a mythical island to find his missing grandfather. Caine plays the grandfather, but it’s no cough and spit appearance; he’ll be involved in several action sequences, including one involving giant bees. Hey, it’ll be just like The Swarm all over again!
