Merlin The Wicked Day Overnight Ratings

Another great result for the Camelot crew as the ratings improve again
Overnight ratings for Merlin ’s rather wonderful " The Wicked Day " showed that 5.71 million viewers tuned in to see the episode on Saturday night. Once again, that’s a slight improvement over the previous week’s episode (which had 5.54 million viewers overnight) and an especially impressive result considering that, as is now the pattern, it was up against the number one most viewed show of the evening – The X-Factor , which had 9.81 million viewers tuning in (with a further 0.45 million watching on +1 catch up).
Merlin was third for the evening with Strictly Come Dancing taking the number two position with 9.05 million – another impressive result for the BBC.
Last week’s episode of Merlin , meanwhile (" The Darkest Hour Part Two "), added 1.26 million viewers in time-shifted figures, giving it a final consolidated rating of 6.8 million .
Let’s hope figures keep growing. We get the feeling this could be the show’s best series yet.
