Men In Black 4 to feature a "prominent" woman, also in black
The Men In Black franchise has remained loyal to its title in the three films released to date. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones' odd-couple agents have gone up against a host of female adversaries, co-workers within their department and dastardly villains putting the world in peril. If the thought of a female agent going toe-to-toe with J and K stokes your fire, then you'll be pleased to hear the series' producers are in agreement.
Speaking to BBC's Newsbeat, producer Laurie McDonald let this little tidbit slip concerning the casting of the fourth installment. “There will be a prominent woman in black in the fourth [MIB film].” The likelihood of a female MiB agent seemed well and truly quashed in Men In Black 2, which ignored the introduction of Linda Fiorentino's suited-and-booted enforcer at the end of the first movie.
Aside from this recent news, there's barely a scrap of solid intel available on the movie. We know it's designed to launch a new trilogy, that apparently won't star Smith. The actor went on the record to state he's no longer interested in revisiting the franchise, which makes this comment from McDonald's producing partner Walter Parkes all the more fascinating: "Never count Will out."
