Megan Fox to star in TMNT reboot
She’ll play April O’Neil
It looks as if Michael Bay and Megan Fox have put their well-publicised differences firmly in the past with the announcement that the star has been cast in his forthcoming reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles .
Bay and Fox famously fell out during the making of Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen , but the director announced their reunion via his blog, stating, “TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family”.
According to Heat Vision , Fox will play intrepid TV reporter April O’Neil, who soon becomes a close ally of the turtles when she stumbles upon their sewer-based lair.
The film is currently casting unknowns for its titular heroes who will be animated using motion-capture techniques. No turtle-suits this time around, it seems.
Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the film was recently pushed back to 2014, although with casting beginning to take shape, hopefully there will be no further delays. Ninja Turtles will open in the UK on 16 May 2014.
