Mega Mega Man Contest

So. Did you get a load of our maddeningly expansiveMega Man Retrospective? How about our Mega Man megapage here, with links to all sorts of good stuff? What can we say? We love the guy. But if you’re part of the Mega uninitiated, we offer you education. Haven’t spent quality time with the little blue bastard since the NES days? Here’s your chance to get reconnected.

Listen: We've got a total of NINE PRIZE PACKS to give away! Here’s what’s up for grabs:

First Prize: Mega Man Star Force: Leo, Mega Man ZX AND Mega Man ZX Advent for the Nintendo DS, as well as a Capcom Bluetooth Headset, a Mega Man T-Shirt, and bestest of all, a GamesRadar Beach Towel!

Second Prize: Mega Man ZX AND Mega Man ZX Advent, a Mega Man T-Shirt and - hell yes! - a GamesRadar beach towel

Third and Fourth Prize: Mega Man ZX Advent, a Mega Man T-Shirt and - Sweet Christ Almighty! - a GamesRadar Beach Towel

Fifth through Ninth Prize: A Mega Man T-Shirt and *drumroll* a GamesRadar Towel!

To win? Now this may not be easy, but it will be fun. We want you to pop on over to our ultra-mega Mega Man retrospective and study it like it was evidence in a murder trial. Below you’ll find a grid featuring sample sprites from many of the Mega Man stages featured in that article.

Your job is simple. Tell us the level for each of the corresponding squares on the above grid and nine of you will get a fancy-pants Mega Man Prize Pack, and more importantly... A GamesRadar Beach Towel, suckas! Here are some guidelines:

- None of the sprites are from any Wily or equivalent "final" boss stages.
- None of the sprites appear in a boss level other than the one listed in the spoiler.
- If a sprite is confirmed to be from a level, that level will not be used again. No stage is represented more than once.
- All sprites are pieces from a level, be it foreground or background. None are enemy attacks.

IMPORTANT!: You also MUST submit a tie-breaker entry, consisting of an original Mega Man villain of your own design. Draw him, Photoshop him, build him with legos - hell, you can just describe him in words if you want. Again, you must submit your own Mega Boss or else all your knowledge of Mega man will be all for naught. Here’s Brett’s example:
