Biography: Londoner Dave joined Future in 1997 to write, later edit, computer magazines. A lifelong SF fan, he moved onto SFX in May 2005 when the mag needed a new captain in the big chair, rejoicing at his chance to combine those years of magazine know-how with his absurd love of '80s fantasy movies.
Favourite SF/fantasy films: Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, The Prestige, 300, Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan, the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, Hawk The Slayer.

Biography: Luton-born, Staffordshire-bred and occasionally Welsh, Rich has always had a bit of an identity crisis. When a physics degree put him off physics he decided to have a crack at journalism, and spent four years on movie mag Hotdog before turning up on SFX's doorstep. He is kind to animals and often helps old ladies across the road.

Biography: Belligerent tyke Ian was briefly a researcher on some truly dreadful daytime TV programmes, working with legends like Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen and Cheryl Baker. He freelanced for SFX for a couple of years before joining the team full-time in March 2002.
Favourite SF/fantasy films: Videodrome, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, Dawn Of The Dead, Suspiria, The Thing From Another World, Danger: Diabolik, The Beyond.

Biography: Born and bred in Newcastle Upon Tyne, then headed to London for uni and stayed there for far too long working on everything from Capital Radio to FHM to the Sunday Times to Kerrang! to Marie Claire... to all sorts of other crazy things. Escaped the madness of the capital in 2008 to come to Bath and by sheer happy accident – seriously - SFX were looking for a Production Editor about six weeks after he arrived.

Biography: Born in Durham City in 1975, Jonathan was raised on a diet of Newcastle Brown Ale, Stottie Cakes and Byker Grove. This accounts for his cast iron stomach and a penchant for girls named Spuggie.

Biography: Born in the seaside town of Weymouth. Studied graphic design degree at the Surrey. Institute of Art and Design in Epsom. Moved to Bath to work on Digital Home magazine before joining SFX on issue 134.

Biography: Born and raised in the darkest depths of north-west England before defecting to the Welsh Valleys, Jordan spent four years as a student in a valiant attempt to avoid all grown-up responsibilities and watch films all day. Got his first job writing for SFX shortly after finishing university and hasn't looked back since.
Favourite SF/fantasy films: The Empire Strikes Back, Aliens, 2001, The Thing, Forbidden Planet, Blade Runner, T2, Ghostbusters, Wall-E, Scott Pilgrim Versus The World.
Favourite SF/fantasy TV: Misfits, Battlestar Galactica, The Prisoner, Supernatural, True Blood, Lost, Buffy, Angel, Carnivale, Firefly, Futurama, Red Dwarf, Doctor Who.
Likes: Videogames (specifically pre-Wii Nintendo and post PS2 Sony), fish and chips, rock music, swimming pools, walking on dry leaves, high definition, a warm bed on a cold night, Chuck Norris’s beard.

Biography: Ade grew up all over the UK and like most boys in the '70s was Star Wars and Doctor Who crazy. Once became a Pontins Bluecoat before spending two years as a Club 18-30 rep in the Canary Islands. Ade has been with SFX for about 113 years, starting with the very first edition.
Favourite SF/fantasy films: Original Star Wars, Jaws, Blade Runner, Superman, Alien(s), The Goonies, Star Trek, Skyfall, Howard The Duck (I know, but I love it)
