Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault screenshot frenzy
The World War II series heads to the far east for more retro shootery
War: what is it good for? Well, first-person shooters, for starters, as Electronic Arts hope to prove with the latest PC update in the World War II Medal of Honor series, Pacific Assault.
The game puts players in the boots of a US marine who must help drive the Imperial Japanese army from the Pacific theatre during the 1941-44 campaign. Locations include, obviously enough, Pearl Harbour as well as the Tarawa Atoll and Guadalcanal before the climatic battle on the beaches of Tarawa. Meanwhile, a new multiplayer mode allows up to 32 players to choose soldiers from American, British, Japanese and other armies.
Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault is currently scheduled for release on PC in September
