McG was in London yesterday to talk about Terminator Salvation and show off some exclusive footage (and it looks very, very cool indeed, packed with loads of new Terminator variants). But he’s also the executive producer on SFX readers’ second favourite TV show (it’s official, or at least it might be after next issue comes out if that’s not too much of a spoiler). He’s told us that he is still "very involved” in the show, so we deiced to ask him about the possibility of Supernatural movie:
“I don’t know. It’s up to the fans,” he told us. “Obviously, Eric Kripke is the architect of the show. And Kripke is just such a smart, passionate guy that I’ve laid it out to him that should he ever decide to pull the trigger, and make the feature, I'll be there every step of the way to help to help navigate the tricky journey that it is to get something greenlit and actually made with integrity. So that’s my commitment to him, and it's up to him. He’s very, very busy. What do you think about a season five?”
“Sometimes a show takes time to find its own wings, and I think that show has found itself in its fourth season. If everybody gets together and clamours there will indeed be a film.”
Don’t know about you, but to us that sounds promising.
