Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass returning for Bourne 5
Sequel to The Bourne Legacy is postponed
Well, well, well… huge news to bring you this morning, as Deadline is reporting that Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass are both set to return for a fifth Bourne film.
Both Damon and Greengrass have attempted to cool speculation concerning a reunion over the last few years, suggesting that the story has run its course, and that there is nowhere left to take the character.
Well, that all seems to have changed, with THR claiming that Greengrass is also in the frame to write the script, should a deal go through as expected.
Universal are also so keen to make this one happen that the film will take the release date reserved for the sequel to The Bourne Legacy , which will now move to the backburner for the next few years.
If everything goes to plan, Damon and Greengrass will be back in the fold soon enough for Bourne 5 to land on 15 July 2016. Keep those fingers crossed…
