Mass Effect: Hour-long DLC coming in March
First in a series of planned DLC packs to expand universe and continue plot
BioWare has revealed the first downloadable content pack for its excellent 360 RPG Mass Effect - and it's looking far better than we expected.
The Bring Down the Sky pack will arrive on Xbox Live on March 10 for 400 Microsoft Points (like $5 or about £3) and is the first in a series of planned DLC waves that expand the Mass Effect universe and continue the plot.
This pack includes an uncharted world that introduces the elusive Batarian race talked about in the Mass Effect prequel book (if you're nerdy enough to have read it).
A Batarian extremist group has hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Commander Shepard has to save the millions of innocent civilians before the asteroid hits, or you're going to get a lot of renegade points on your profile.
BioWare says there's about "an hour and a half" of gameplay and a new Achievement worth 50 Gamerscore points, which (assuming the new planet is a proper one, and not one of those exploration planets) is a bloody good deal for 400 points. More please, BioWare.
