For Comic-Con 2011, Bioware reached out to one of their fans for a special project. The company asked Harrison Krix to design a replica N7 Rifle as a prop they could showcase. And he was more than ready for the challenge.
Krix is a graphic designer who runs the Volpin Props and uses his free time to create weaponry from his favorite movies, videos, and games. He’s also known for recreating the Mass EffectM8 Avenger Assault Rifle, which he did for $28. Naturally, Krix was excited about the new project.
The N7 rifle, which hadn’t been announced when Krix was commissioned, joins the N7 pistol, shotgun, sniper rifle and SMG as part of the Mass Effect 3 Arsenal.
The whole project took Krix only 14 days of work and he was able todocumentthe process in great detail. A few of the steps aren’t shown in the photos, but he still does such a good job explaining that you could probably follow along and make your own N7 replica.
