Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Venom actor says the game is "massive"
This might be why it's not coming out until 2023
A Marvel's Spider-Man 2 actor has claimed the sequel is "massive" in size.
Just earlier today on September 10, Venom actor Tony Todd took to Twitter to respond to a fan asking him about his new role in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Todd's reply, which you can see below, claims the sequel is "massive," which is why it won't come out until 2023. Additionally, the actor claims he's only been aware of the sequel for roughly two months.
2 months or so. Game is massive. That's why it won't come out till. 2023September 10, 2021
This all follows after Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was unveiled yesterday at the PlayStation 2021 showcase, with Todd's character Venom stealing the show. The monstrous villain turned up right at the very end of the reveal trailer to pose a very new sort of threat to both Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
You'll likely know Tony Todd from the Candyman series, where he played the demonic murderer with a fondness for bees over the course of four movies. Venom's voice was instantly recognizable when it broke through the airwaves with a spine-tingling rasp yesterday during the reveal trailer, and it's nice to know Insomniac has recruited such an excellent horror actor for the role.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 won't be launching until 2023, so we've got a fair while to wait yet until the PS5 exclusive from Insomniac finally arrives. There was another voice heard throughout the trailer, before Venom made his dramatic entrance, and while some have assumed this to be Kraven the Hunter, Insomniac is staying tight-lipped for now.
