Marvel has announced some key casting for its forthcoming Netflix adventures, with Mike Colter officially confirmed to play musclebound hero Luke Cage.
THR reports that Colter will appear as a recurring character in the forthcoming Jessica Jones series, before heading up his own show further down the track.
For those unfamiliar with the character, Cage first appeared in the 1972 comic-book run Luke Cage: Hero For Hire, in which a prison experiment endowed him with superhuman strength.
Later adventures would see him form a relationship with Jones, which is presumably why he will be making his bow in her show opposite the recently cast Krysten Ritter.
The Jessica Jones series has yet to receive an official air date, but is expected to land on Netflix at some point next year, with Daredevil scheduled to arrive first in May.
