Mark Ruffalo says there are no plans for a solo Hulk movie
But says he’d be open to the opportunity
Ever since Mark Ruffalo stole the show in The Avengers as the Hulk, rumours have abounded about the possibility of another standalone movie featuring the big green monster.
And while key Marvel figures have often agreed that such a project would be interesting, Mark Ruffalo has come out and revealed that no such plans are in the works as yet.
“A lot of folks have been asking about the next Hulk,” said Ruffalo via Twitter. “The next time you see my Hulk it will be in The Avengers 2 . No plans for stand alone.”
“I am not giving up on another stand alone Hulk,” he continues. “But it’s not in the works right now. One never knows what the future will bring.”
Ruffalo's comments follow hot on the heels of Joss Whedon's dismissal of the Planet Hulk movie rumour as 'nonsense'.
Sounds as though we’ll have to make do with seeing Hulk en masse, as opposed to in his own starring vehicle. For now, anyway. The Avengers 2 opens in the UK on 1 May 2015.
