Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy will reunite for animated film Batman: The Killing Joke
There have been many great actors who have played Batman and the Joker through the years, but when I read comics that feature those characters it's always Kevin Conroy's and Mark Hamill's voices I hear. The two actors have collaborated on many DC animated and video game projects, and now Comic Book Resources have confirmed that the duo will reunite once again for the animated movie adaptation of The Killing Joke.
In addition to the first image, Hamill has been tweeting lines of dialogue that should be familiar to any fans of the iconic graphic novel. Check them out below...

Even though they've been voicing these characters since the 1990's, Conroy and Hamill are as excited as ever to be teaming up once again. "The chance to work once again with Kevin Conroy, my favourite Batman, in what some consider the definitive origin of this iconic villain is a dream come true for me", Hamill noted. Conroy added that "Mark always enables me to be a better actor. I’m thrilled that we’re both back to bring these characters to life in one of the most heralded Batman/Joker stories of all time."
Conroy and Hamill aren't the only voice actors returning to familiar roles; Tara Strong will once again voice Barbara Gordon a.k.a. Batgirl in the R-rated adaptation. Without getting into specifics, Barbara endures some pretty brutal treatment in the comic, so it's going to be really interesting to see how the adaptation depicts that violence on screen.
Starring Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, Tara Strong, and Ray Wise, Batman: The Killing Joke will debut at this year's San Diego Comic-Con before being released to stores later this Summer.
