Ready for a charm offensive? Nintendo has revealed all the details of the upcoming Mario Kart 8 DLC available on Wii U on the 23rd of April. Out on the same day as the free 200cc update, the Animal Crossing X Mario Kart pack will be priced at £7 and includes three new characters, four vehicles and eight tracks.
If you don’t want to revisit your actual town because all it’ll do is make you weed, the Animal Crossing track changes seasons every time you race and is full of town staples such as Resetti and KK Slider. See the above gallery for some warm fuzzy feelings normally only associated with catching bugs and shaking trees for money.
The new characters available are AC’s Villager and Isabelle as well as the considerably less charming Dry Bowser. Vehicles to take on the new tracks include the Bone Rattler bike and a Streetle kart. When it comes to tracks, there are four new courses including Big Blue from the F-Zero series, and four remastered retro offerings. GameCube’s Baby Park has had a lick of HD paint, as has Ribbon Road from Game Boy Advance.
