Suicide Squad's Harley Quinn will be "absolutely nuts", says Margot Robbie

Ever since the first trailer dropped for Suicide Squad, the world has been torn over who it's more excited by - Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn or Jared Leto’s Joker. While that debate rages, the former has been discussing working with the latter, saying that she’s more used to Leto’s Joker get-up than his actual face.

“What he’s doing with the character is so cool,” said Robbie to New York Daily News. “At first it was kind of confronting (to be up close) but now I’m so used to it, I think if I ever saw him out of make-up now I would be really confused. Actually, I saw him out of make-up once and I was actually petrified of him. I was too scared to go up and didn’t know who that person was, and when he got back into his make-up I was far more comfortable.”

Meanwhile, Robbie is confident that the films villain-heavy line-up will make it more fun than your average comic-book adaptation. “I guess the one common denominator is we’re all bad guys, it just makes everything more fun that way. The scenes are more interesting I feel, when you just don’t know how the characters are going to react, especially with Harley, who’s absolutely nuts… she’s either going to kill you or laugh and give you a hug.”

Never a dull moment with Harley… Directed by David Ayer and co-starring Will Smith, Jai Courtney and Joel Kinnaman, Suicide Squad will open in the UK and US on August 5, 2016.
