It's generated through buying and selling items at the marketplace, or things like Manor Lords level 2 burgage plot upgrades which passively generate 1 wealth per month by turning residents into artisanal crafters who buy and sell their wares at market. That, coincidentally, also includes weapons for your Manor Lords militia, so doubly useful.

Some backyard extensions require funds to even build them in the first place though, so here I'll explain how to get regional wealth in Manor Lords. In Manor Lords, regional wealth indicates how much money is currently moving  around your settlement. Gaining more regional wealth unlocks new growth opportunities, like the ability to turn Level 2 Burgage plots into artisanal crafters including blacksmiths and joiners to make weapons and shields. Artisanal residents can also generate more wealth in turn by selling what they make at market. Just be aware that some artisanal items require fuel so check out how to get fuel in Manor Lords for more on that.

How to get money in Manor Lords

Here's how to get Manor Lords regional wealth:

1. Build a Tannery to turn hides gathered from animal hunting into Leather to sell in the marketplace.

2. Build a Dye Store to make dyes out of berries gathered by your workers at the Forager's Hut, also to be sold at market.

3. Make sure you have at least one (preferably two) people assigned to the Granary and Storehouse apiece, since these workers can sell off the excess resources at market.

4. Level up some Burgage plots to Level 2 to generate 1 regional wealth per family every month, as well as valuable items crafted through backyard extensions.

5. Establish trade routes via a Trading Post to sell off any surplus resources for profit.

Once your regional wealth is regularly being topped up you can quickly start to grow it further. Setting up Manor Lord trade routes to sell excess resources is a great way to build wealth fast. However, most of them are expensive so you'll need to make money first before you can then make even more. You can also buy livestock like oxen or horses to speed up goods production, or sheep to sell the wool.
