Mage Knight: Apocalypse multiplayer hands-on impressions

If five is the magic number for your party while playing the action-soaked left-clickathonMage Knight: Apocalypse in single player, what happens when five actual humans join in the fray? To put it mildly, it's a running, gunning, yelling, healing and curse-filled fun-fest. But that's not the best news.

ABOVE: Our favorite co-op level was the desert - simply because there was plenty of room to run the hell away when needed

The makers of Mage Knight: Apocalypse understand that the overlapping nature of skill-sets compliment each other greatly, but in co-op multiplayer, they let us have it our way. If we wanted to dial up an extra Paladin for addition healing duties, we could. Alternatively, we could make five versions of Chela, the Amazonian tank, so we didn't even need a healer.

Even better, we played exactly the chapter and verse we wanted to, redoing our favorite boss fight over and overbecause that's how we wanted to roll. One of the best parts of multiplayer was that all the loot and skills we gained in co-op were available to us immediately when we went back to our single player games.
