MAG, Modern Warfare, and five other games become PS3 'Greatest Hits'

Seven games ranging from Ratchet & Clank to Call of Duty are now part of the PS3's $30 Greatest Hits line. Three are first-party Sony titles, and the other fourare some of the system'sbest-selling third-party titles:

  • MAG
  • Ratchet %26amp; Clank Future: A Crack in Time
  • Demon's Souls
  • MotorStorm: Pacific Rift
  • Call of Duty: World at War
  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
  • Tekken 6

Thenumber of PS3 Greatest Hits games now hits a cool 53. All of the above, effective immediately, carry suggested retail prices of $29.99.

Above: Even though it never came close to being a top seller, MAG's getting a new life as a Greatest Hits title

The Greatest Hits label has become a staple of the PlayStation brand and Sony has managed to make it a more successful and well-known platform than similar deals on other systems. However, although it was originally a distinction only given to games that sold past a certain threshold of units, Sony has begun sticking the label on games that it internally classifies as "best-selling," like MAG.

In addition to being repackaged in the noticeable red Greatest Hits boxing, MAG's box art will also be redesigned to denote its compatibility with PlayStation Move.
