A surprise surge sends the escaped animals of Madagascar to the top while the gang of four below shuffle themselves into a new order.

The mightily impressive God Of War clings on to its cloud at five while Cricket 2005 continues to prop up the middle order as the Ashes finally threaten to get underway.

The only new entries appear in the flexible shapes of the Fantastic 4 at eight while the ludicrously inventive and somewhat bizarre Killer 7 screams into 15.

Otherwise the bout of warm weather and the approach of school holidays have left the chart looking slow and static. Even outside the 20 things are quiet with only the Open-inspired Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 showing any sign of upward movement (from 40 to 21).

Releases due come in the form of the Xbox version of Sid Meier's Pirates, in-depth RTS Codename: Panzers Phase Two on PC, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Brian Lara International Cricket 2005.
