Mad Max in-engine trailer rules the road
Work on your car, blow up everyone else's
The lonely road is much lonelier by the end of this (surprisingly maudlin) Mad Max gameplay trailer. Not because he breaks up with his girlfriend or his dog dies or anything, just because he executes a bunch of marauders and blows up their cars. You know, apocalypse stuff.
The open-world game from Avalanche Studios, creators of the Just Cause series, doesn't star Mel Gibson, but it does have a whole lot of car combat and wide open wasteland to stake out for your own. And Max still has an Australian accent.
It's slated to arrive in 2014 on PS4 and Xbox One, as well as PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Check out our E3 preview for more, wherein we may or may not go beyond Thunderdome.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
