Luke Evans dropping out of The Crow reboot?
Despite only appointing a new director yesterday in the form of Corin Hardy, it looks as though the reboot of The Crow has suffered another blow, with star Luke Evans casting doubt over his position on the project.
Evans had officially signed on to take the leading role in the film when it was under the stewardship of Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, but now it sounds as though the actor has been having second thoughts…
“At the minute The Crow is not, not for me,” says Evans to Den Of Geek. “I think it’s a little… I mean I’m sure it’s going to go ahead at some point, but I have other projects that are greenlit and ready to go and projects that I’m very interested in and you know, I can’t wait much longer.”
Indeed, the project seems to have lurched from one crisis to the next over the past few years, with a series of directors coming and going, and a cloud of uncertainty perenially hovering over proceedings.
No official release date has been set as yet, but hopefully Relativity Media can get the wheels moving on this one before Evans decides to head for the exit door…
