Naughty Dog's Uncharted meme generator went about as well as expected
I'm GamesRadar's Managing Editor for guides, which means I run GamesRadar's guides and tips content. I also write reviews, previews and features, largely about horror, action adventure, FPS and open world games. I previously worked on Kotaku, and the Official PlayStation Magazine and website.
It's hard to tell if it got pulled because the internet is a terrible place or I'm just not meant to see it in the UK yet (it's sort of accessible via a US proxy) but there was/is a 'make your own GIF' Uncharted meme wall. As you can imagine...
Tweets of things people have created currently don't show live GIFs but you can see their efforts if you click through. There's also a 'GIF Wall' that's just showing text (even via a US IP) and if you can get to the 'http://www.unchartedthegame.com/en-us/uncharted-moments' link it currently redirects to the main page of the game site. So it look like it might have been pulled down. Probably because of things like this:
I have so many questions. Mostly, 'Why a Rhino?'
Not all of it's been awful. The original stuff's kind of like 'your dad's first meme' and almost cutely rubbish:
However, some people have very strong views on this sort of thing:
Obviously, there's loads of Lara ones which was also going to happen, and some that are way, way, way through the bad taste window. Check out the gallery and see if you can tell which ones Naughty Dog made and which ones they didn't. You have to wonder what they were thinking...

I've seen enough: Assassin's Creed Shadows will beat Black Flag as my favorite AC game as Ubisoft says it lets you "Naruto run" as the "fastest Assassin" it's ever made
