Star Wars: The Last Jedi director reveals even more amazing set photos

Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson has a habit of carrying a film camera with him whenever he's working, and he shared his latest crop of set photos in a panel at Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017. Not counting the inevitable trailer, this is by far the most we've seen of the new film so far.

Without further ado, let's take a look!

Here's Rey about to use the force! And that's a really different looking outfit she's got on. Wonder what that's all about.

Billie Lourd, the late Carrie Fisher's daughter, appeared as a background character in The Force Awakens. Looks like she'll appear again in The Last Jedi, seemingly on a Resistance base.

Poe Dameron should really know better than to drink scalding hot coffee in his cramped X-Wing cockpit.

This excellent photo shows Poe, Finn, and Leia taking some downtime at Resistance headquarters. What plans or maps are waiting just out of frame?

A rare moment of levity for Captain Phasma. Finn isn't sure what to think about it. Will the characters meet again in The Last Jedi, and if so, will Phasma be royally pissed about being tossed into a trash compactor the last time?

C-3PO with a human head? Creepy.

A happening scene, featuring a properly headed C-3PO.

Is that shadowy figure Luke? Whoever it is, it looks like they're not having a very good time.

Mon Calamari require some extra time in the makeup chair to get their fishy eyeliner just right.

Something has gone really wrong for the First Order here. And it's up to Mop Man to clean it up.

Directed by Rian Johnson and starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Laura Dern, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, and Benicio del Toro, Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in cinemas on December 15, 2017.
