Levine takes Warm Bodies
Director to helm “zombie love” film...
Last year’s Zombieland proved that zombies are still almost as en vogue as vampires.
So it’s good to hear that the undead sub-genre is attracting the likes of Jonathan Levine.
The director of All the Boys Love Mandy Lane and The Wackness has just signed on to direct an adaptation of the novel Warm Bodies .
Penned by Isaac Marion, the as-yet-unpublished novel revolves around a zombie called “R” who falls in love with the girlfriend of one of his victims. Their ensuing relationship could prove disastrous.
It’s being touted as Twilight meets Shaun of the Dead , which gives us some idea of the tone of the film (if the plot didn’t already give that away).
Meanwhile, Levine is set to direct James McAvoy and Seth Rogen in ‘cancer comedy’ I’m With Cancer , which should start filming in Canada next month.
