Filming wrapped on Southland Tales two years ago, but after a kicking at last year’s Cannes, Richard "Donnie Darko" Kelly has made a number of changes ahead of its full release.
"We showed it to the toughest audience in the world. Was that a good idea? I don't know. But it happened, and you just sort of take the best from it," director Kelly told SCI FI Wire at Comic-Con in San Diego. "[We made] a lot of editorial changes in terms of restructuring the order of scenes... We re-recorded all of Justin Timberlake's voice-over, and we added 90 new visual-effects shots."
Southland Tales also stars The Rock and Sarah Michelle Gellar, and is set in a near-future LA. The movie will hit US cinemas on 9 November. Check out the prequel saga on the official site .
